Just purchased 4 tracks over the wi-fi link and after thestore said they would be delivered in highest quality I clicked ok and that was the end of it --- No songs appeared in my Touch's download window' nor in my music library on the Touch. What happened and how do I complete the download?
Intel Imac 2.1 GHz - 20",
Mac OS X (10.4.8),
1 Gb RAM
Exactly the same for me - I know that my account is OK, as I can purchase from my PC without problems, but when I purchase an album, I get the iTunesPlus message about enhanced quality etc, then click the "buy" button and nothing - the downloads screen clears and the items aren't downloaded to my touch.
Can I ask - are you downloading an album, or indiviual track? Some people are saying that individual tracks work and albums don't, however neither work for me...
I was trying to download just a fewq chosen tracks - only 3 or 4 from an album. I have not been able to get the WiFi music store to work at all; I was ablke to go and buy the tracks without problem using my Mac desktop IMac. They are now safe and sound on the Ipod Touch but only after syncing with the desktop: As far as I am concerned, the WiFi music store on the Ipod Touch does not work and maybe it will be fixed in a future software update ????
Don't think that that's the issue here - Michael is in the same boat as me in that iPod/iTunes wifi store isn't working at all, however the mac/pc iTunes purchasing is working on our machines and transfering
to the iPod from our machines.
It's just the wifi download from iTunes wifi store that isn't working.
I have the exact same problem. I tried to purchase an album (i'm in UK), and when I click buy album, a little red symbol appears on my download folder for a split second and then disappears. Nothing else happens. The touch just sits there doing nothing. I don't get anything saying about high quality delivery.
I tried this twice with the same album, and nothing both times. I've check my touch library and the album is not there. My wifi connection is fine for everything else so thats not the problem.
Could it be that in its haste to market the Touch, Apple has neglected to mention that the WiFi "Store" service isn't available (yet) in Canada and the UK ?? When will Apple clarify the situay tion on this board ? Anyone out there from Apple ? If so, please read the above Posts.
I just noticed that my 'region format' under 'settings-general-international' was set to United States. I wonder if this prevented me from purchasing from the UK store?
Yeah - was the same settings on mine - corrected them to UK settings, but still exactly the same - no joy 😟
Where did you guys get yours from? Mine was bought in the US, but I didn't think it would have made this difference, as all the units are essentially international??
No problems here (I'm also in the UK). Have purchased and downloaded three albums and several individual tracks without a hitch. Week 40 iPod running 1.1.1.
Bought mine from a major Apple dealer-secialist in Ottawa Canada. Still no Joy. Apple WiFi Music store on Touch does not work; selected items sample fine but do not download even when my purchaser account is recognized over WiFi and active and "Buy" button hit. system then just dies; no downloading whatever; while Itunes store on the desktop Mac works just fine as always.
