Database.sqlite3 keeps showing up in my Trash

I have the same issue. No idea what is causing it.

It appears to be related to Mail and Safari, specifically the RSS feeds.
If you quit Mail and Safari the files stop being generated and they can also be emptied from the waste basket.

same problem here... I wonder if it has to do with a 3rd party plugin.. I have the google maps plugin in address book... its happening on my mac book pro and mac pro

I too have the issue. I even reinstalled Leopared this evening (fresh install) and am having the same problem. I called Mac earlier today and they said this was the first time it was being reported. He then went and looked at the user forms (this chat thread I bet) and said that he noticed others were having the problem. He said it was being submitted to their technical department. I thought this was 3rd party apps causing it, but when I reinstalled the OS I had only synced my .mac account, and just let the computer sit. Sure enough, after about 10 minutes, the "Database" folder popped up in the trash! I hope this gets fixed...it's more annoying than anything. If anyone has come across updates, please update this thread. I will do the same if i learn more.

It does indeed seem to be related to the RSS feeds in Safari and Mail.app.

For reference, I don't use RSS in either. I have my default RSS application set to NetNewsWire and no feeds in my bookmark bars. Yet, the application still seems to be trying to get the feeds.

Looking at the sqlite3 database, I can see that it is trying only with the feeds that are put into Safari by default, (ABC News, Apple iTunes Bestsellers, etc)

In the mean time, I've changed the Finder Preferences to always empty the trash securely so that I would be able to empty it each time. Hopefully we'll see a fix along shortly.

I made these changes a couple days ago but it hasn't solved it for me. Hopefully you have better luck.

Hi people. I was experiensing this problem too. It so-called PubSub problem. Check solution i've found:
You just need to disable bookmarks syncing in .mac prefs. I've found occurences of PubSubAgent related errors in my system.log showing exactly same time when bookmarks sync starting. I've decided to turn off bookmark syncing and voila, there are no errors in system.log and no Database.sqlite3 in Trash.

Thanks for the work-around/fix, hopefully they'll fix this .Mac issue soon.

Even quitting Mail and Safari does not allow me to empty my trash.

I've been doing a Secure Empty Trash since that allows deleting even active files but it is very annoying.

Just chiming in to let others know that I am having this same problem. I am doing a secure empty trash for now, seems to get rid of them. I don't want to turn off .Mac bookmarks sync, I need it! Anyway, here's hoping this gets fixed soon. 10.5.1, anybody?
