It does indeed seem to be related to the RSS feeds in Safari and Mail.app.
For reference, I don't use RSS in either. I have my default RSS application set to NetNewsWire and no feeds in my bookmark bars. Yet, the application still seems to be trying to get the feeds.
Looking at the sqlite3 database, I can see that it is trying only with the feeds that are put into Safari by default, (ABC News, Apple iTunes Bestsellers, etc)
In the mean time, I've changed the Finder Preferences to always empty the trash securely so that I would be able to empty it each time. Hopefully we'll see a fix along shortly.
