UPGRADE CRISIS - Do not download the latest keychain upgrade

I just downloaded the apple update for the keychain on two of my iMacs.

It has put them both into a loop of login - apple registration - login -apple registration.

I tried to call Apple on the 1-800 SOS APPLE line, and the message from here (California) is that it is closed due to a winter storm? What is up with that.

17in 1.67 G4 PB, 1.8 G5, 500 G3 Ibook, and others I have rescued from used PC Stores, Mac OS X (10.5)

I found a solution to the same problem.

When the install goes into that endless loop of migration assistant (or registration) and login... Just cancel the migration assistant and the login panel will be displayed. From this panel, choose "restart" and the system will recycle doing the completion of the patch update. This removed the loop and I was allowed to use my mac as normal. I did this on the two machines my daughters have. One machine recycled completely without a hitch. The other one seem to hang on exiting. I turned the machine off and back on. This one completed successfully too.

Hope this helps.

No problems here. I was able to upgrade my MBP from Tiger to Leopard easily in about 1 hour 30 minutes. Only two problems so far. Sherlock did not work and apparently is not supported and Juniper SSL VPN Network Connect does not work. I was able to apply the keychain patch with no issues either. Hopefully I am an exception, however, I have two other coworkers who have had no issues either. Both with identical Intel MBP notebooks.
