I forgot to touch save on a new contact

I entered a name and a number but fortgot to push save, instead I hit the button at the bottom of the I phone taking me back to the home screen. My question is, is there any way to get the information I typed into that contact back?

17" imac intel, Mac OS X (10.4.4)

I don't know, was it from someone that called you? If so, then they could still be in your recent calls list. I do believe if someone calls you and you answer it, it shows up blue.
