Another Leopard Problem - Front Row & Airport Express/Airtunes

Just upgraded to Leopard.....

Now Front Row won't stream music through my Airport Express to remote speakers, although itunes will. What's going on and how do I fix this?

Using Front Row as a an interface for itunes streaming music wireless through my airport express connected to my hi-fi and distributing into to speakers in different rooms as an extremely vital function from my computer to have. It would be disgraceful if this functionality is not available in Leopard.

I also just upgraded to Leopard. And the "new" front row is really annoying.

- it stops playing music whenever you leave the menue
- you cannot listen to your music using airtunes.

Now I can listen to my music through the internal mac mini speakers. Wow - that's Hifi....

Front Row - one of the good features of Tiger - is useless now.

Who designed this crap?

Yes, same for me : imagine this : I've just bought a brand new iMac, to replace my 7 years old G3, and FINALLY, be able to use these fantastic features, just as, airtune, front row, etc... and : it's precisely a bug of Leopard, AAAAARGHHHH. Okay, it works with iTunes, and the remote control also, but can't use front row... MAD

Add me to the list. I just finished wiring my home with 6 Airport Express units to stream AirTunes from a Mac Mini set up as a media server. FrontRow worked fine with Tiger, but Leopard, which came with the Mini, won't stream to the remote speakers assigned by iTunes.

I recently read that Apple had received a patent enabling a handheld device (iTouch) to control media files (iTunes) on a Mac configured as a media server (MacMini) over WiFi. I'm really hoping this happens as it will bypass the need for a monitor or screen sharing with the Mini. Until then, I want my AirTunes streaming from FrontRow back!

add another one to the list... 😟

This computer is my main music system and sends to a remote DAC and onto the HiFi, or at least it used to...

Agree with all the sentiment on here. You pay to "upgrade" your OS, it looks flash but knocks out the single feature I use most. Nice one.

Tiger will be going back on ASAP.

Come on Apple. Sort it out. We expect better.
