Another Leopard Problem - Front Row & Airport Express/Airtunes

Add me to the list. This doesn't make any sense. Without airport express capabilities front row doesn't work for me. At all.

Have you seen this answer to the problem from apple;

It is a disgrace I urge you all to click through and give feedback saying the answer is not adequate.

By saying "This document will be updated as more information becomes available." they at least acknowledge that its some kind of a bug and are looking into it. So I guess maybe 10.5.2 will solve this.

Since iTunes is still the only Apple application that can broadcast AirTunes, it would probably need to be a combination of Mac OS X, Front Row and QuickTime before this is solved. I would continue to suggest sending Apple some Mac OS X feedback.

Just adding another disappointed user to the group with this problem.

I recently bought a new MacBook. Was using airtunes since Panther and my iBook G4. Cool stuff 2 years ago! I was expecting it to be even cooler with Front Row. Have to face now that it's not. Really dissapointing feature drop.
Seriously I bought two pieces of apple HW. I can't believe apple is expecting me to buy 3rd party software to stream audio data between them. Why can't this be just another audio out channel within the OS?

Why not just use iTunes directly? You do NOT need to buy third party software to stream audio through your AirPort Express, iTunes still works.

not exactly. now i am having problems with airport and itunes direct (without front row). the airport connection has become intermittent. and i can no longer access multiple airport expresses connected to different stereos. prior to the "upgrade" to leopard, i could access both airports at the same time either through front row or directly from itunes from either of my macs. now, the best i can do is one airport at a time from itunes directly and that connection is routinely dropped after a short interval.

Okay... Then you're having a completely different problem, completely separate from THIS topic in the Front Row forum. You should start a separate topic of your own, probably in the AirPort Express forum.

Add my name to to list!! Apple, are you listening? This is a DAILY function for most people... it's one of the reasons we bought our Macs in the first place!

I am assuming that Apple's real goal is to try and make us all to purchase AppleTV and give up on our AirPort Express. I love my Mac, but Apple has always been an "our way or the highway" type of company.

Add me to the list. This is a TREMENDOUS oversight! An update on Apples half would go a long way here. Something like "yep its gone, get used to it" or "we are working on it, oops"

FrontRow 2.1.2 isn't still able to use Airtunes 😟

And i'll NOT buy a Apple TV!

And neither am I. I went out and purposely bought 2 express units and a stereo system based on what I'd read about. Don't get me wrong the itunes over it is great but let's be honest... it's flawed.
