Mouse lag

I am having servre mouse lag when waking from sleep. I have no "not responding" applications in my activity monitor. I have heaps of ram left and my average cpu is around 5%

Why is the mouse lagging. Its so bad I have to reset the computer everytim it happens. Time doesnt make the problem go away

Macbook Pro 2.4ghz 15", Mac OS X (10.4.10), 4GB Ram CTO

I went through a fresh install of Leopard in an attempt to get rid of the stuttering after wake-up! I wish I knew the problem was as easy as getting rid of iStat... lol.

The problem seems to be only with Santa Rosa MacBook Pros with Leopard. iSlayer thinks its some sort of bug within Leopard, and the test release mentioned in both of the links above seems to be able to go around the problem in Leopard. I'm trying it out now.
