Mouse lag

I am having servre mouse lag when waking from sleep. I have no "not responding" applications in my activity monitor. I have heaps of ram left and my average cpu is around 5%

Why is the mouse lagging. Its so bad I have to reset the computer everytim it happens. Time doesnt make the problem go away

Macbook Pro 2.4ghz 15", Mac OS X (10.4.10), 4GB Ram CTO

I had that problem almost daily. Usually after around 4-5 wake-ups. I haven't had the issue for 2 weeks now. The two changes I did were: I kicked out iStatPro from the Widgets and Repaired the Disk Permissions. So far so good .......

Some general updates were installed today and the mouse jitters seem to have disappeared. Could someone else confirm this for me with their computer?

Stefan,
This seems to have solved the problem for me. Thanks! I have no stuttering of the mouse and my MBP wakes up from sleep almost instantly now. I am not sure what iStatPro was doing, but removing it seems to have worked.

Incidentally, iStat Menus appears to have no problems and works like a charm.

I went through a fresh install of Leopard in an attempt to get rid of the stuttering after wake-up! I wish I knew the problem was as easy as getting rid of iStat... lol.

The problem seems to be only with Santa Rosa MacBook Pros with Leopard. iSlayer thinks its some sort of bug within Leopard, and the test release mentioned in both of the links above seems to be able to go around the problem in Leopard. I'm trying it out now.

I have the same lag problem still with 10.5.2, all patches and upgrades applied. it now occured for the first time. I have enabled fast sleep for some time now. The only solution seems to be to reboot. Interesting enough, when turning off Airport the mouse lag vanishes and the mouse cursor then is way too fast.

Today is the first time I have seen this problem, but it is incredibly annoying. Have had my MBP since Nov 2007, and have all OS updates that are currently available. Anyone at Apple: please deal with this ASAP!

I'm having exactly the same problem, also with fast sleep, and after wakeup. When diabling Airport, the touchpad mouse is extremely fast, and freezes soon afterwards completely
