looking for macbook USB port specifications for external hard drives

I am currently looking at the Western Digital Passport WDXMS1200TN 120GB 5400 RPM USB 2.0 External Hard Drive. (Here is the link to it: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822136059&ATT=22-136-059&CM P=OTC-pr1c3grabb3r&cmmmc=OTC-pr1c3grabb3r-_-HardDrives+-+External-_-WesternDigital--22136059)
I don't know much about external hard drives, but based on the reviews, it looks like a great deal $ per gigabyte.
But the thing is, "The USB 2.0 specification only requires USB ports provide 500 milliamps of power to a port. (In this case a port is a pair of connectors.) Some desktops have more power available but MOST laptops DO NOT. - This device pulls 650 milliamps which exceeds the USB current spec by approx 1/3. - This device WILL burn out USB ports on most laptops and many desktops."
Does anyone know the USB specifications for macbook? will I be able to use this particular external hard drive on a macbook?

MacBook 13/2.0/2x512/80/SD, Mac OS X (10.4.8)
