Country list in iPhone Contacts

The list of countries does not include all of them. Somebody knows how to add a country in contact address?

Do you need these countries that you found not to be present?

If so, I can understand your concern.

As I said, the 61 countries are not even half of the countries belonging to the UN.

If you need them, send feedback to Apple.

If you do not need them, and I have not personally seen any request for other countries, still send in your comments to Apple Feedback but I believe that from a priority of fixes and additions, this would not be at the top of my list.

Are you speaking from personal experience working at Apple or is this just your opinion. Because let me tell you something... this is a serious flaw. The country list is very small with no ability to add to it, what would you say to the fact that KOREA is not on the list? One of this country's largest trading partners and it's not there?

In reality, this problem should be one of the top items on the next update.

In the meantime, the only way to have the proper country in your contact is to first add it to your computer such as Address Book on the Mac or Outlook on the PC and then synch the phone. THe country will appear correctly on the phone.

I'm facing the same limitations, as only a few countries in Latin America Show up. This may be a minor issue for some people, but it is a major oversight from Apple (perhaps rush), which could explain some of the annoying things the phone has. Come on, the ISO country list has been an standar for quite some time! I should had been a "simple" copy-paste for the programmer. Oh! I forgot, they already obsoleted the legacy copy paste issue.

I have not found a way to add a country and knwing Apple, I'm sure it would take an unwanted hack to get it fixed. My work around is to make a note and later go back and fix it in Outlook.

Apple should give away good-old paper notepads to all iPhone owners, because I'm using it too much. Like for writing addesses sent to me by email, in order to look them up on the map, and so on...
