LOVE Tiger, but anybody else have new soft "beeps" now?

Tiger is lightning. I couldn't believe how fast I reboot.
I did the archive and install.

BUT... (ain't there always?) uhhh... anybody else hear a very soft, steady rhythmic "beeping" (almost like a countdown) inside their G5 (2.5 for me)?

I heard this "new" sound immediately when the mute went on the office TV (plus my G5 is right up on my desk). It's soft but can't say I care for it.

Again it's very steady, almost like a countdown. Can't hear it over much, but I sure don't like my office quiet (kids away, TV off) as it gets into my head.

I bought my Dual 2.5 G5 about 3 weeks ago... no problems at all. AFTER the Tiger upgrade.. the I also get the soft beeps.

Not the power supply, everything was great before... Tiger did something in the software that now causes these soft beeps. At greater volume with the power settings (CPU HIGH) and at a lower volume when set to "automatic".

the beeps are almost like a second hand on a clock, beep, beep, beep... at first I thought it was the dashboard clock.. but it appears like some other code causing it within the OS.

Installing CHUD may fix it... but this does look like something that needs to be patched and that can be fixed all in software on the next Tiger update.

Again.. NOT a powersupply, fan or other problem... just a little soft beep (only after a tiger install) coming from somewhere inside the computer.

I'm just posting to assure that it is a problem (to add my post here about it) and that I think a Tiger update can fix it... For the moment I can live with it.. but when it's very quiet... it can drive you crazy and you need to put on a radio or something.. haha

hope it gets fixed soon.
