Transfer Data/files over Wi-fi network

Hi,

I have a powerbook and my friend joined my Airport express -> Wifi network. He is using a HP laptop with Windows XP and has wireless adaptor installed and there is no problem accessing the internet or printer attached to the airport express.

I want to transfer files/data from these 2 computers over the wifi network. What config settings do I need to use. How do I go about this ?

Is there a possiblity of another apple powerbook to transfer/share data using Wifi or within the same Airport Express enabled network?

Otherwise, I am planning to buy an Airport Extreme base station & connect an external hard disk.
Can this be accessed by both laptops (one running Mac OS & other having Windows XP) which are connected to the same wireless network in my home. Many thanks for your opinions.

powerbook G4, Mac OS X (10.4), 768 Ram, Airport Express with Cable modem.

Thanks Cornelius,

I have posted this on the Networking forum as suggested.

My friend and I with some trial and error could enable disk sharing in Windows XP between a HP laptop and a Dell desktop PC (running windows XP) through Belkin 54g router Wi-fi network. But, we could not get access to the External hard disk through the same, neither this worked on Airport enabled wi-fi network. Will keep trying and any help in this regard is much appreciated.
