setting up PowerMac 7500

I am trying to set up a PowerMac7500/100 that I was given, and cannot figure out how to plug in both the keyboard and the mouse. I have never had an Apple before (don't throw things, I'm trying here) and there appears to be only one socket on the back of the box with the right symbol. If I plug the mouse into it, the mouse works; if I plug the keyboard into it, the keyboard works. There are 3 sockets on the base of the monitor with the same symbol, but none of them seem to be hot. I have no manual, and cannot seem to find one on the web.

How do I plug both the mouse and the monitor in at the same time (a truely stupid question, I know, but I am stumped).

Welcome to Apple and Apple Discussions, Newbe
There is a port on the keyboard for the mouse; look under the top edge of the keyboard. BTW, do not hot plug or unplug the mouse or keyboard on a mac- it could fry the ADB (Apple Desktop Bus)ports.

Regarding the monitor sockets- if there are ADB sockets on the monitor, there must be someplace for it to attach to the mac- perhaps in the back somewhere, perhaps with anoth3er cable which you might not have.

No stupid questions, except those you don't ask. We all had to learn it somewhere. BTW, there is a downloadable manual for your Mac on Apple's support site here:

Welcome to discussions.
A little bit of help for mouse, keyboard. There should be a connector on the keyboard for the mouse, called ADB.You can connect the keyboard to PM,mouse to keyboard-that,s all.
For the Manual:

Monitor:is it an Apple-Monitor? You may look at whoopis.com for some of them,or everymac.com for specifications. My monitors have a 15-pin male connector-cable for my MACS(7600 down to LCII)
Good luck-post back for more questions
