ADB & Newton Serial Connection

I've had my Newton MessagePad 110 sitting around the house for years - It was my first ever Apple product! I used to use it when I was a PC owner!

I've decided to try and get it working with my iBook. I think of myself as an original Switcher, my first real Mac being a rev. B Bondai blue iMac, therefore I'm only familiar with Mac's having a USB & Firewire ports.

I've read some stuff in the group here know that I need a USB adapter. Is an ADB apatper the same as a serial adapter that I need to connect my Newton to my iBook?

The following was what I was thinking of:

Thanks,
Jamie.

Great stuff - I hope you enjoy using it!
Have you also got the serial connector dongle?
If you're using OSX then try NewTen as a package loader - very reliable through a serial connection.
One thing - I had to download Mac drivers for the Keyspan from their website - for some reason the CD that I got (it all come in the 2000 package that I bought) wouldn't run.
