Spell Check and Grammar in German

Pages (and other iWork applications) has their dictionary ties to your Mac's international settings. Go to *System Preferences > International* and check (the list on the left) if you have Deutsch installed in your system. (If you don't, you can click on *Edit List...* to add Deutsch to the list.) If you prefer, you can drag it to the topmost of the list, making it the 'default' first-choice language for your Mac.

Once you set the language, the language in Pages will be automatically set to Deutsch the next time you start Pages. However, if it doesn't, you can set the document's language by going to the *Text Inspector > More*, and select Deutsch from the Language drop-down menu.

In addition, if you're creating a bilingual (or multi-lingual) document, you can always select a block of text and set its language the same way.
