Print Center missing

Print Center missing

When I first installed Leopard, my Print Center opened to list the printers and were put into it. Now, the print center is missing from the Utilities folder and evey time I reopen an application I have to choose the printers and reload the drivers. Any ideas as to where to redownload the print center?
It cannot be fpound by spotlight or the finder.

macbook pro 2.66, Mac OS X (10.5)

I don't think there is a print center in Leopard. Just go to System Preferences, click on the Print & Fax icon, and set your default printer from there.

You can get to it through System Preferences, but I always liked to drag the Print Center to my dock for easy access. How can I do that in Leopard?

There isn't a separate application, either Print Center or Printer Setup Utility, in Leopard. You can keep the proxies in the dock if that helps.

Let me rephrase that - what is a proxy and how do I set it up so that it enables me to get to see my printer setting/activity from the dock?

A printer proxy is what appears in the dock while a job is printing. I am not sure what you mean by printer setting, but open Print & Fax Preferences, select your printer and then select "Open Print Queue…" That will launch the printer proxy; go to the dock and select "Keep in Dock" on the proxy's dock menu.

I tried what you suggested, but there is no "Keep in Dock" option for the Print Queue menu when it is open on the dock.

I figured out a solution. When I did an "Open in Finder" I discoverd that the print queue for a given printer is listed under /Library/Printers/

Just drag your printer icon to the dock from there and you're set!
