ftp client for 8.6
Please recommend an ftp client (freeware) for system 8.6. I'm attempting to network an 8.6 with a new G5, and available file sgaring settings are inadequate.

Far and away m y favorite FTP client is Transmit v. 1.7 from www.panic.com. It works easily; has a clean interface; and very intuitive. While Interarchy (www.interarchy.com) is also very good, and Fetch is well-known and good, too, Transmit I have always found to have a better interface. Also, their website is a hoot , as they have a lot of interesting palaver there to read!!
Transmit used to be a commercial release, but for whatever reasons, the guys at Panic Software have released Transmit as Freeware, complete with the registration code for the downloading. I don't recall what their website says specifically, but Transmit does work with OS 8.6.
While you're there, you might also download their cool MP3 player Audion, which they have also released as freeware. It was (is) one of the best mp3 players, as it does that and a lot more.
