apple tv as a digital picture frame?
I use iPhoto on my Mac, and have lots of family pictures. Can I use an apple tv with an old monitor (that has a VGA port) to create a digital picture frame?

Apple TV only has component and HDMI video out so you'd need some sort of component to VGA conversion device/lead.
Provided you can do that you would just sync photos from iPhoto and use the slideshow option with that.
Those standalone digital photo frames seem to be pretty cheap these days though unless you're looking for a big display (which I dare say won't look as elegant as an all in one solution).
