iphone is flawless

After reading dozens of posts, I just had to say that my phone syncs all, charges well, sends texts, gets email. browses the web, makes calls, the map works great, speakers and ear buds work fine, color is b right, keyboard works fine, ipods plays well, battery life is good. This really is the finest phone ever invented, and this from a guy who threw away a Blackberry curve 28 days after he bought it so I could use this. Oh, and my coverage is great.

I too like my iPhone. Although it is missing a few features that I'm used to with my old Windows Mobile- equipped phone, I have learned to like it and appreciate the things that it can do. From day one my iPhone has behaved very well. Did not give me any headaches at all from activation to updating to version 1.1.2. I love that I can now browse websites using Safari without the pages looking weird. Love the visual voicemail. Love that it works flawlessly with my Garmin Nuvi 660. And the little things too like when the trash "swallows" the whole page when you tap it to delete an email message, or the envelope bouncing to the folder where you move your message. For me all these things, and more, add up to a very pleasant experience using iPhone.

Sure the iPhone lacks a lot of features that some of us are used to with our old ones but hey, this is just the beginning! I have hope that future versions of the iPhone will only get better and will be more cool to use and play with.

Mine too thus far is flawless. I can't even get my battery to decharge more than about 1/10 and that is with lots of webbing and email. I have yet to watch a long video and I'm sure that would do it but everything else just works.

Coverage with ATT so far has been great in FC area. I experienced 1 bar in my doctors office thinking it was a bad area but data still flowed. Walked out the door and 5 bars jumped on the screen. Do some buildings have intentional cell blocking? If so it didn't work completely.

Finally a thread that doesn't start "My iPhone doesn't do <insert pointless feature here>"

I love my iPhone too. Its fast, every now and again when Im out and about I hit wireless networks but GPRS provides enough speed to do what I want...

My battery lasts ages... not used the iPod much just yet but use the web a lot and make calls, send/receive plenty of texts

In my opinion Apple have this spot on, all the features I use every day are so accessible and easy to use. Leave out the features I use every now and then, giving them more time to make sure they get right then hopefully provide an update later. Its also quite exciting waiting to see what features might appear over the coming months in the same way that my PlayStation does. I've never had that kind of interactive experience with a phone before.

In the past a phone was a phone to me, the iPhone is a very mini mac to me that I always have in my pocket!

Yes. I love my iPhone. It makes a lousy spatula and it won't spread cold butter; but other than that, everything works great and has given me no problems at all.

Yes. There are more features I want - iChat! - but I knew those were not there when I bought it. I suspect iPhone users will see a LOT of new stuff next year as third party developers come into the iPhone market.

Now, I am not speculating, but .... it would make good business sense for Apple to develop iPhone versions of some of their Mac software. For example, an iPhone version of iWork could allow iPhone users to open Office documents and spreadsheets, make small edits, and send them back to the office.

Yes. There were things "missing" when I bought the iPhone. However the design allows upgrades over the internet and I believe that most of the "stuff" I want will appear before my two year contract expires.

And, the best thing about owning an iPhone: Everyone who sees it is jealous!

I agree! There have been so many negative iPhone posts that it's about time there was a post talking about the plus points. I got mine on Friday afternoon at an O2 store and was very pleased. I've wanted to get my hands on it since the introduction keynote, so it's been a ten month wait! Although there was a production flaw on my handset (on the black plastic, on the rear), but when I mentioned this to O2 today, they replaced it, exchanged the SIM and I cam back home and re-activated with no problems at all. I'll be glad when UK users get to make ringtones though, as I do miss not being able to assign a music file, but it's no great issue.

I would love an update that allowed the camera to record video as well as just take pictures (and the quality of the camera for a 2 MP (with no auto focus and no flash) is stunning next to devices like the Sony Ericson W910i, which has a terrible 2MP camera). I'd also like support for a stereo bluetooth headset, as having a such a great iPod inside the iPhone it seems a little crazy that it doesn't support it already.

I am really enjoying the iPhone experience and my 15 year old daughter was so impressed with the iPod side of the iPhone, that I bought her an iPod Touch today as an early Christmas gift!

I love my iPhone, especially after the last firmware update which fixed my sound problems. Before, my speaker sound was up and down. Maybe once or twice a month, my speaker volume would be loud and the rest of the time, it was so low I could never hear the phone ring in my pocket. Since the last firmware update, my speaker volume is never low. I actually heard the phone alert me to a text message while I was in the other room, the sound I have for text messages is the glass sound.

That had been the only problem that I was having since I bought my phone back on July 6. Excellent phone!
