I have a Black Box, the amp sounds are great and plenty of good quality effects. It did have a problem with clicks but one of the driver updates fixed it. I haven't used it for recording with 10.5 yet, I'll give it a try and post back but usually just plug and play.
Does anyone have any experience working with Garageband and M-Audio's Blackbox (Reloaded)? I was impressed with the product but would like to get something that is friendly with my Apple and Garageband. Thanks for your help!

Did you, or have you, noticed any latency issues?
Also, do all the effects (ie drums patterns, amps) work with Garageband? I had heard or read somewhere that they didn't, or that it was complicated to get them to work.
Could you explain your setup? Is it just the Blackbox via USB to your Apple then working with Garageband?
I just want to make sure I get the right I/O product. I am also considering the PreSonus Firebox but it doesn't have all the effects.
Does the Blackbox handle a keyboard if I want to add that later?
Thanks for all the help! I just don't want to spend money on something and find out that I should have got something else.

I just recorded 3 tracks, 1 minute long works fine with 10.5.1.
I just use it for the amp sims/effects I don't use the drum loops so I never tried to sync with garageband. I did play with it using Ableton Live when I bought it, it work great and it was cool to sync with loops and effects. Of course you can use the onboard loops, effects and sims and record them in garageband.
My black box was part of the live kit that came with the volume/expression pedal. I sometimes use it for band practice just plug it into a PA.
It works just like any other i/o usb interface just has the FX, sims, loops and all that stuff.
I have no Idea what the midi does I guess it's for sync I never use it I have a usb keyboard. You can plug a Keyboard into line if you want. Oh it also has some great Bass sims.
