Microsoft Basic Data.....20.2GB????

Just recently opened Disk Utility and noticed a "disk0s3" with no Mounting Point. Its Partition Type is a "Microsoft Basic Data" with a capacity of 20.2GB. I have an 80GB hard drive, but my hard drive information says its only showing that i have a 54GB capacity. What is this, and how can i fix it?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

Hi,

I had a little [Googling about|http://www.google.com/search?q=microsoft basic+data+osx&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a] and it seems that that is indeed a partition created for FAT32/NTFS use. Is that expected, or has someone been playing around with your MacBook?

You should be able to remove it via a reinstall. Disk Utility will give you the option to alter the partition map prior to installing the files.
