OK, please no jokes. I like posting on digg occasionally. Unfortunately, all of a sudden it's no longer possible. I'm using Safari on Leopard and I do have the Saft extension installed, however, the posting problem started more recently than the installation of Saft and I even uninstalled it with no benefit. What happens when I try to post is that I type out the message then press "submit comment". My text dims and freezes and nothing happens. I tried logging into another account and it has the same problem. I recently enabled the debug menu but I don't think that's the problem. I'm not sure what to try next to solve this problem.
Well, I'm not so sure. As I said, until just a couple of days ago it worked fine and I'm using the same version of Safari and Leopard.
There is something else I need to mention. I also use Safari Stand (I know input managers are evil but I NEED them). I did something the other day to cause a SIMBL error to pop up every time I start Safari. The only way to get rid of the error was to remove Stand. I reinstalled Stand and SIMBL 0.8.2 to no effect. I think this SIMBL error is connected in some way to the posting problem. I'm not sure how to fix it though. Here's the error:
SIMBL Error:
Failed to load the SafariStand plugin.
* -[NSNull host]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0xa03a6020
OK, I am starting to think you are right. I just tried posting on my wife's MacBook running Tiger and Safari3 beta and it didn't work. I guess Kevin Rose is a FireFox user.
I am not sure what the bug is but as of last week i could not post comments on digg using my G5 with 10.5 and safari but i could post on digg using my macbook using safari and 10.5
as of my 2nd comment today safari on my macbook stopped working as well. Over a week apart but the same issue in both.
In my post above, I mentioned a SIMBL error. Well, I seemed to have fixed that somehow...not sure if it was the reinstalling of SIMBL or changing some settings in Stand but I'm not getting the startup error anymore but I still cannot post to digg.
