Ipod Nano stuck on hold?

A few days ago I tried to use my Ipod Nano, but when I tried to turn it on the screen remained blank. I tried to reset it by toggling hold then holding the select and menu buttons together, but this did not work. The Ipod responds when I plug it into my AC adapter and if I plug it into my computer. Itunes comes up and everything like the Ipod is working correctly. Plugging it into my AC adapter, I saw that the hold symbol was there even when it still wasn't on hold. Therefore, I tried plugging it into my computer and restoring it to see if that would work, but it didn't. I'm not sure what course of action I can take seeing as the Ipod only responds when it's plugged in, but I cannot use it or interact with it in any way.

Same thing here... weird our names are the same too. Mine is an iPod Nano 2GB... had any help getting it working?

same. it's very frustrating, because it's full of charge but won't come off hold.
mine's a 1st generation iPod nano, 4GB

Hey, i have/had the same problem.
I have a 1st Gen. 4GB and i had the same problem as u guys.
I found that by, holding down the hold button when the hold was switched off it would unhold the iPod,but only when i held it down. I heard that it was because the toggle inside the iPod had come loose...but im not sure.
so i was able to use my iPod by holding the toggle switch down when the hold was swtched of, BUT....a few days later it was going fine then i randomly had a little screen with a triangular sign with a ! in it...(like a caution sign)with a pic. of an iPOd next to it....anyone now what thats about????

I have the exact same issue with mine! Mines a 4GB white nano, and it only works if i hold down the hold button really hard, which is irritating because your fingers begin to hurt after while.

I love my iPod and i want to get it fixed, because I don't like the new ones ha!

yea, it's very annoying..

know anything about my other problem....with the triangle thing next to the picture of the iPod on my iPods screen...

does that mean its fully broken...like sending it in condition?

i had the same problem with the hold button on my ipod, i read around and ive found out how to fix the problem, you need to move the hold switch from off to on, to off again then hold down both the centre button and the menu button for about 15 seconds and it should reset the ipod
