Printer Drivers

What is the best way to completely remove and than reinstall HP printer drivers?

G5 Dual 2.5ghz 2.5gb RAM LaCie FireWire DVD-R/W, Mac OS X (10.4.5), 17" Studio display, JBL Creature Speakers, Logic, Edirol USB Keyboard Controller

Use the printer setup utility to remove all drivers. This can be accessed in the system preferences. When you want to reinstall the HP drivers, download the appropriate ones and install them according to the instructions. Beware that not all drivers from HP are leopard compatible, so be sure to check the driver you download first.

Yes... I'm quickly learning that some (or maybe a lot) of HP drivers are not Leopard compatible. Thanks for the help.

oh... I wanted to mention I did try clearing out and reinstalling the drivers from the OS X (leopard) cd and had no luck. HP hasn't come up with any new drivers (according to their website) any more recent than the OS X Leopard drivers on the install disc.

Hi,

It seems as thou you are having the same problems as me. When you reinstalled leopard did it not reinstate the HP drivers? i was contemplating doing the same thing, but was worried as when i look at doing it, it just says that all information on the source drive will be erased. i dont want to do this beacause i dont have the cd for MS office or ilife '08, do you know if i did revert back to an old system save using time machine if it will erase my software applications to?
