Go to the settings menu on your iPhone, go to sounds, go to ringtone, select "old phone". Done!

Oh, did you have a specific "ringer" ringtone in mind? It really depends on what you want your "ringer" to sound like. Grab a copy of the program MakeiPhoneRingtone (Google it) and then go find yourself a good sound file on the internet. Make the sound file an AAC audio file and drop it on MakeiPhoneRingtone. Presto! It's sitting in your ringtone list waiting to be synced.

Without hacking, the legit way will cost $1.98: Find a song with a phone ringing in it, buy it in iTunes, isolate the ring, and buy the ringtone. (You might be able to rename the ringtone so it doesn't get listed as the song title; I haven't tried that.)

Anybody know of a good candidate song? I know +Sometimes a Fantasy+ by Billy Joel has an isolated ring in the beginning, but it's the ringback tone you hear when calling someone else.
