Don't want to delete text messages!!!

I get "Your sms mailbox is full. New messages cannot be received until you delete some messages"!!! How can I avoid deleting whole conversations and delete only separate messages?!! If i dont want to keep sent messages, only received ones?!! Can I increase the number of sms saved in the iphone?!! Can I somehow save the messages onto my computer?!! Can I do anything to keep the messages and still recieve new ones?!! Please help!!! Thank You!

so you can or cant delete the messages just delete them or write a note in your notebook on your iphone if its important.

If you want more text messages on you phone you are going to have to remove other things like your music, videos and make space available for more text message.

on apple.com they say the mailbox can only contain max of 1000 text meassages, can i increase the number??

i can delete the messages but i would like to keep all of them, there's a 1000 of them so it'd be kind of hard to copy all of them into notebook... is there a solution?

The iPhone can only hold 1,000 SMS messages. It doesn't matter how much music or videos or photos are on the phone, it can still only hold 1,000 SMS messages. Nothing can change that so you will just have to delete some conversations.

There is a program called Syphone that can extract the SMS messages from the iPhone backup file and export them.

Thats the only way to save them at this point.

Hi,

If you are on o2 (UK), you can register to bluebook, on the o2 website, which is a service provided by o2, once you have registered, you can set the option to save every text message sent/received. It will automatically do it, and you can manually forward on messages too, should you need to, I think they allow a gig of storage.

Maybe using that you could delete the conversations and always have access to your messages online if need be. For users outside the UK, I don't know if your service provider supports a feature the same.
