Touch screen not working on the iphone

All of a sudden today the touch screen has stopped working on my iphone. Have followed all the advise with regard to restarting the phone by holding down the power button and home button, I have even restored the phone but with no success. I cannot do anything with the phone - anyone have any other suggestions?

Not much you can do other than take it in for replacment.

I had the same issue. I tried a reset and restore, but it didn't solve the problem. I returned it to the Apple Store and got a replacement. I suggest you do the same.

Did you have insurance? My iphone was a Christmas gift. My husband didn't get insurance (he thought i'd want to get a new version later this year anyway) and now half of my touch screen isn't working; i also tried restore. I am going to the store, but am worried I am screwed without insurance.

You don't need insurance since it is still covered under the 1 year warranty. Go to the Apple store and get a replacement/repair
