Remapping record identifiers error message

Hi,

Recently I have not been able to sync my iPhone to my laptop. The error message I get is: "iTunes could not sync mail accounts to the iPhone...because an error occurred remapping record identifiers."

Is the only solution to reset my iPhone?

Thanks for your help. I'm stumped!

PowerBook G4, Mac OS X (10.5.1)

Hi - I am having the same issue. I followed all the steps, and now show NO email accounts on the mac. I tried what you said, but it never asks for the keychain access. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting, but still nothing. Any ideas?

Your solution seems to have worked for me too! Many thanks. This just started happening to me last Thursday or Friday, even though I don't have the newly issued iPhone 3G. Go figure!
