iPhone and USB hub ....

Hi,

Is there a reason why my iPhone does not show up when connected to my USB 2.0 hub ??? If connected to my iMac it shows up ...

I use a belkin "TuneSync" with my iphone. The tunesync is a powered ipod dock with built-in 5 port hub.

The dock charges without my mac being on, syncs great when it is on, and gives me five powered USB ports.

For what its worth... I stumbled upon this thread looking for an answer on using a hub with my iPhone. I'm stuck since my iTunes library lives on an external drive that requires either a direct connection or a powered hub (my compact Logitech hub is self powered).

I found that my phone was charging, but not showing up in iTunes.

By removing my dock from the hook up and just plugging my phone into the hub without the dock and just the cable it worked out.

Just my 2 cents on something that worked for me.
