iPhone error message, "This accessory is not made to work with iPhone"

Hey! Nice job! Great that your iPhone is back in business. I am awed by my phone every day - so it's always a fright if something goes wrong, at least with me. It does seem that the unit is relatively open to the ingress of liquids or foreign matter through the headphone jack and the dock port. This might be addressed by after-market "plugs" or removeable covers. For my part I envision a more ruggedized, "sport" type model that might depart a bit from the executive, slim styling we all know and love to more of a shock-proofed rubberized styling that, while not waterproof, might offer more protection from the elements.

I never used a dock and there were no lint or foreign objects stuck in the connector port. I have a skin around my phone and it slips off if I put my phone in my pocket port down. The biggest hole is on the end with the syncing port so I'm forced to put the iPhone in audio port first or constantly replace the silicon skin onto the phone.
