Graphics glitch on Cinema Display

After installing 10.5, a graphics glitch started on my Cinema display, where a few lines of multicolor random dots are drawn across the screen. I have a screenshot and wish I could upload it! Anyway, but it looks like some code is overwriting the raster. It is a stable glitch, does not get worse over time, so it isn't a memory leak. If an app like Firefox or Eudora is open, the lines get written into those windows, and will disappear if I hide the window and restore it.

I have two monitors, a Multisync LCD2180UX and the Apple Cinema HD Display, and his glitch is happening ONLY on the Cinema display. However, if the lines are written into an app window, the glitch is visible on the Multisync, after I drag the window into that display.

Finally, strange square blips of color appear and disappear every so often now.

Anyone know what's happening? Any suggestions? (No way I'm lugging the desktop and monitor to the Apple Store. I'm assuming that it's something that will be fixed by 10.5.2.

Thanks!

It's STILL crashing on boot some of the time. But I've ascertained that if I let it boot all the way, it'll stay up a day or so before freezing up. But if I fiddle with the mouse or access the dock while booting... crashola, total freeze up. It might be a bug with the dock code because a couple of times, it crashed during boot with the dock half hidden.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

I've had similar problems, now with the additional problem of frequent, unrecoverable crashes. "Freezes" may be a more appropriate term.

I get strangely colord single-pixel lines across the screen both in regular browsing in firefox and when playing back video in Final Cut Pro.

Sometimes these lines stay on the screen when I move the windows around, sometimes they can be "erased" by moving the window away and back.

I have had a very bad time indeed, and no apparent solution.

Yeah, I found out that it was a glitchy graphics card... when I replaced my Radeon X1900 (the only one that supports dual DVI for my two large monitors), the problem went away.

So watch out for this: weird lines or dots painted on the screen, as if the raster memory is being overwritten; those lines change when you move windows around or resize them; after 30 minutes the system crashes.
