I'm sure I'm overlooking something obvious, but does anyone know how to undo editing such as redeye reduction? I can't figure it out and my daughter looks like a souless zombie thanks to my editing attempts. Thanks!
Hmm... I tried the Apple and Z keys and that didn't do anything. I can't find anything on any menu bar that reads "revert to original." I haven't hit the 'done' button yet because of the disastrous results of my editing. Is that why I can't find the 'revert to original' option yet?
Go ahead and click "Done". Then, while the photo is selected, find Photos from the Menu bar, and select "Revert to Original".
You are correct in your assumption as to why you weren't seeing this option.
1. There's no need to duplicate before editing, iPhoto performs all functions - including edits, exports whatever - on a copy of the file. Your Original is always preserved.
2. The Revert to Original command is available for only for images that have been modified.
3. -z (Hold the key and tap z) is a universal 'Undo' command on the Mac.
