OS9 drivers for USB card???

I have a generic USB2.0 card (PCI) which I've just put into my vanilla G3. It's manufactured by Ali.

I'm pretty sure I used to have a CD with the mac drivers for this card, although I can't find it anywhere....

Anyone know where I can find drivers for such a creature?

thanks!

mistafeesh: If your G3 is one of the beige ones (without any factory USB ports), and you're running OS 9.x, you can install the necessary Apple USB support extensions by extracting them from the Installer Tome contained in the freely-downloadable OS 9.1 updater, using TomeViewer. The ones you need are listed in this FAQ by Apple employee Joerg Weise.

If your Mac has factory-installed USB 1.1 ports, all the USB software you need to support USB 1.1 operation of your adapter card should already be installed, and if the card doesn't work, it probably isn't backward-compatible with USB 1.1 (though most cards are) or isn't compatible with the version of OS 9 you're running.

You won't be able to realize USB 2.0 speed with your new card without upgrading to OS X 10.2.8 or higher.

I just installed a Belkin PCI USB card in my PowerComputing PowerCenter 132 along with a Belkin Wireless Network Adapter. I had to upgrade to OS 9.2.2 to get the USB drivers I needed. I found OS9Helper out on the web. They seem to specialize in getting things like this working. If you are not running OS 9.2.2 you might try their website. http://www.os9forever.com/os9helper.html

When you run OS9Helper, if you don't have the necessary OS 9 update files they give you a link from which you can pull it.

Hope this helps.
