I hadn't worked on my site in over a month and when I published and visited site, the counter had been reset. What good is that? I didn't upgrade. I just added info etc.
The counter will only reset if you remove and replace it, if you just go in and do other things say add images, new text boxed etc.. it will not, so what you did was somehow delete the counter and then put it back in.. u can actually cut and paste the counter to another page and it will take the count with it....
I used to be able to change my home page and the Mac hit counter did not reset. But now I have a new Welcome page (and deleted the old page), and if I make any small change at all and republish, the counter resets to zero. I am NOT deleting it and re-adding it. What's up?
Hi,
I had a similar situation happen to me just recently. I did not remove the counter because I know that will reset it. All I did was add an article to the web site and when I saved and published it reset to 0.
I have had a counter's on other pages and they don't reset themselves even when I modify the page and republish it but this time I changed some things to one of my sites, then published. I went to my site to see IF all was ok, it wasn't. The counter had reset itself back to 0 for some reason. Why?
I did not remove the counter and replace it. All I did was save and publish.
