iMac won't eject disc. PLEASE HELP!

Hi. I was testing out Vmware fusion on my 20" iMac. It loaded Windows perfectly. It works fine. But now my iMac won't spit out the disc. Just makes really weird noises and stays in. Please someone help me. Thanks.

First step, if you haven't already tried it: restart the Mac, hold down the mouse key until the Finder has loaded. The disk should eject.

Had the same problem. The disc is not recognised on the Mac as the drive just whirrs as it seems to be unable to read the leader. All usual steps failed until I was told to CAREFULLY insert a credit card in the lower part of the drive whilst pressing the eject button. Hey presto the disk spat out.

Love the iMac but this really is a serious design flaw there should be a mechanical eject system
