How much memory used?

Hello -

Does anyone know how to check to see how much memory/space my Mac has used thus far? I have a lot of photos in iphoto, and use imovie to make movies. I am trying to figure out how much more memory i have left. i want to upload lots photos but im curious about the memory first. thanks!

I'm trying to get rid of stuff as we speak. I've already trashed some "no brainers" that I knew I didn't need and have managed to free up over 1 gig. I just posted another topic in the same forum asking if it would be okay to get rid of some other stuff.
