2 clicking sounds normal in iPod classic?

I have an iPod classic (80 gb) and I noticed that every time I first play a song or skip a song, the hard drive makes two soft clicking noises. (the sounds are from the hard drive and not the click wheel.) The first one occurs when the hard drive is accessing the mp3, which I understand is completely normal, but then 3-5 seconds later, I hear another clicking noise, as if the spinning hard drive is coming to a stop. Is this second click something that I should be concerned about? This also happens when I'm skipping from feature to feature within the iPod except the two clicks occur closer together.

I should add that I have upgrade to the latest firmware 1.0.3.
