battlefield 2142

Apologies for posting this on this forum page - but EA are useless with their support for Mac.

Has anyone been able to play this game on a new Imac? I can play this fine on a MacPro but not on my new Imac - I hear sound only without any visuals.
Is their a trick to making it work??!!!

I beg to differ. From what I've read (sorry haven't actually had any experience with the os x version) it should run on the new aluminium imacs. They are way above the minimum spec for the game. The problem it seems is that the mac version is full of bugs *grabs a can of bug spray and a large fly swat*

I have a fairly new iMac and when I first installed Battlefield I was having a few problems with graphics. Installed the update and the game works great. Good luck.

I know this is not a solution to the problem but anyone wanting to play games on the iMac should really install Boot Camp and play under XP.
Windows Drivers for iMac hardware are much better than Apples and less buggy for games. Especialy drivers for the GFX card.
