LTO2/3/4 and HBA Cards for a Mac Pro?

Can anyone recommend a working solution for running an external LTO drive on a Mac Pro file-server along with an HBA and software (I was thinking Retrospect).
I've got a client, more like a boss' friend at another company in a different field in our industry, whose office is currently running off an old Mac OS 9 fileserver.
They tried a solution from our local Mac store but the majority of backups they've setup have been for very small offices (eg. dental offices) who have very little to backup each day, rather than 50-150GB of data per day. So we've been asked to come up with a solution for which they could have a fileserver with an attached tape drive to backup their data as well as the 10 or so mac workstations they've got.

We have about 30 Macs in our building which I take care of. We used to use Retrospect and a 35/90 REV drive but we far surpassed the storage capacity of these drives on a daily basis. We were upgrading our server backups to LTO3 tapes and decided to move our Macs to use the same system as well so we no longer use Retrospect or a Mac to backup our Macs.

HI Dan, I'd suggest you contact the guys at QUANTUM as they now resell and support and implement the ULTIRUM LTO 3 & 4 tape drives..

They boast OSx connectivity with lots of their software and hardware now.

THE others on the LTO consortium (HP, IBM, Certanace) will have partners such as QLOGIC and ATTO etc that have OSX and MACPRO compatibility HBAs and the necessary extensions for the Ultrium 3 & 4 tape drives.

this would be a good place to start.

Retrospect (EMC) would also know.

BTW there are other alternatives to the above.
