excuse me.. silly rabbit... did you read any of my past posts... no.. so you have no frame of reference here, Donny. You're like a child who wanders into the middle of a movie and wants to know...
I already explained my situation.. and it was deleted for no reason.. I'm sorry but it was detailed and had more than 10 replies..
anyway.. give me some help then silly... instead of just perusing posts looking for someone to parent..
I reinstalled leopard, reformatted my external (all 1tb of it).. used the proper GUID partition map.. and am still having the same problem... it never finishes a back up... sometimes it only makes it 8kb, sometimes it makes it through 75 gb... in the console when it fails.. it will say backupd error (-48) on any random file.. sometimes it's a system file.. sometimes it's a file on my desktop.. changes kinds of files, location, sizes.. etc..
there was a link in my past post from a very helpful peggy that suggested it was a pdf indexing issue.. so i excluded my folder with pdfs in it.. spotlight is indexing properly now.. but time machine is still failing me.
so.. see any reason to delete this one as well? besides bad pr... I am following everything i can find and it's still not working.. and i'm not even a novice user.. I've been on a mac for 10 years, and know a lot more than most users.
