iPod mini Shell

Hi Again!

My friend dropped off their mini at my house that was just run over by a car (Who knows how this happened, don't ask me why..). Anyway, the mini still works, everything is intact, except for the outer shell. She was going to sell it, but of course, no one wants a smashed iPod.

So does anyone know where to get an outer shell that has the serial number of the iPod? For example, if her serial number is YM635.. she wants a new shell that has the same serial number on it, not YM212.. Or, would an AASP be able to get one?

Thanks,

Brian

Unless you can smith an aluminum case with the serial number, legal info, apple logo, and capacity on it, it is not going to happen. BTW, when Apple does a repair, you DO NOT get your original product back. You get a refurbished iPod back. It is just like new (my iPod nano 2nd Gen went through the wash, so I know...) though, so no worries. She will have to learn a new serial #. No big deal though, 'cause you never really use it.
