Black Spots next to Trackpad

I've had my MacBook Pro 15" since July and I absolutely love it. The only problem is, since about the 3rd week of having it, it has started forming black spots on the case to the right of the trackpad. I have no idea what they are or how they are formed, but if anyone knows of a way to clean them off, I would be very grateful.

Yep, it's from your sweat and oils on your palms. I have it on both sides of mine now, and one of the spots on the left is getting quite large.
As a sidenote, my dad had an old aluminum wristwatch that almost completely eroded away from his skin oils over the years, so it's not really Apple's fault that aluminum isn't impervious to body oils. That being said, Apple has been known to fix many cosmetic issues over the years, and might just fix yours as a blessing.

try using a cleaning cloth that has the alcohol/water mix. if that doesnt work try gently scraping it with a finger nail. if neither of those work or the coating on the casing comes off from just doing that call apple. those type of defects will be covered under warranty (i had a spot on my powerbook that the casing coating came off after some dirt got on it and apple was going to replace it (didnt want to send it in for just that cosmetic issue) but then i got a new machine so i never had to worry about getting it replaced.

while yes it is a "cosmetic" issue if you cannot get it off apple will probably fix it. do the spots only come in those areas or are they multiplying? if its only those spots then some one probably messed up when the case got powdercoated and some how got something on the metal after it was cleaned and before it was coated

I went to an Apple Store about two weeks ago to get my power adapter replaced and asked them about the spots. The rubbed it with iKlear and it stayed there, and the only response I got was "we could replace it, but you would have to do without your computer for a few days". I really can't do that right now because of school, but I'm thinking of doing it this summer, since I have AppleCare.

@tek help:
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try that when I get home.
