Try Buy.com at the following link for an example (you will want to make sure the exact type of memory you need; if you write back with your exact computer specifications, we can check for you, although most memory sellers have a way of entering your iMac into their system and they will tell you what you need). BTW: Kingston has always done well for me, but everyone has their preferences when buying memory.

If your iMac is still under warranty, I'd strongly suggest keeping the
original memory sticks -- so you can reinstall them if you ever have
a problem requiring a warranty repair. That way, an Apple repair
shop can't blame the "aftermarket" memory.

Anyway, a used 512 MB memory module has very little market value;
they're selling for $12-$15 new, and new 1GB sticks are under $25.

Actually your Mac does take 4 GB modules, but you need to replace the existing 1 GB module -- in other words, if you already have 1 GB module and would like to move to 4 GB, you need to purchase 2 x 2 GB modules, and 1 GB module goes out - you can always sell it on eBay.

[Kingston 2 GB DDR2 667 Mhz unbuffered modules|http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000K1OQRW?tag=amfitedirectf-20&camp=14573&cre ative=327641&linkCode=as1&creativeASIN=B000K1OQRW&adid=08C7P0TTW0VBFF1NXJ7H&|RAM for iMac] have a lifetime warranty and they're about $48, so for 4 GB that's just a bit less than $100.
