Try Buy.com at the following link for an example (you will want to make sure the exact type of memory you need; if you write back with your exact computer specifications, we can check for you, although most memory sellers have a way of entering your iMac into their system and they will tell you what you need). BTW: Kingston has always done well for me, but everyone has their preferences when buying memory.

Hi Captian Tex

No you need the 200 pin 4GB kit.

[CORSAIR 4GB 200-Pin Kit|http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?SID=481053-9-0-RAM-0&Item=N82E16 820145193&ATT=20-145-193&CMP=OTC-dealram&nm mc=OTC-dealram&cm_mmc=OTC-dealram-_-Memory(Notebook+Memory)-_-Corsair+Memory+Inc.--20145193]

Or a single 2GB to add to your 1GB for 3GB

Hi Dennis,

Sure, I'll do that next time. One follow up question though, the Corsair you linked is out of stock. I found a Kingston kit which I think is identical, if you don't mind, could you just double check it for me?

Kingston 4GB (2 x 2GB) 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Dual Channel Kit Notebook Memory

Thanks again!

There have been mixed reports on compatibility with Kingston's "Value Ram"
product line (KVR prefix). There's no financial risk if you buy from Newegg,
but if it doesn't work, you'll lose the time involved in messing with a return.

You can minimize that risk by paying a little extra for "Apple-specific" RAM.
Newegg lists several Apple-specific products under: *Apple > Mac Memory*
Also check mushkin.com, crucial.com, and macsales.com (a.k.a. OWC) for
good prices on guaranteed-compatible Mac memory.

Hello all. I just made the jump and purchased my first Apple ever. It is the Core Duo 2.16 and I wish to upgrade the 1GB 667 DDR2 SDRAM memory. I skimmed thru this thread and found another memory option at Newegg-
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820148087

How would that memory card work with my system? Here is what Newegg recomended for upgrade for my computer-

Thanks so much for any help you can provide!
