iTunes Scripting Interface

Every time I close iTunes it pauses then brings up a notice that another program is using the iTunes Scripting interface. The program will close in * seconds. There is a quit or don't quit button.

I've searched iTunes support and can't find anything about this. Can anyone tell me what this is and why all of a sudden I'm getting this notice? How can I correct this so that it doesn't happen? Is it okay to just quit?
