Share FAX Modem on OS X Server

Hi,
is there a way to share the built-in fax modem on OS X Tiger Server ?
In the client version of Tiger there are buttons for printer&fax network sharing in the system preferences. I really miss this feature in Tiger Server!

Because the fax modem is no postscript printer i can´t add it in the print Server queue (in Server Admin).
Maybe it´s possible to share the fax modem via CUPS. Does anyone has an idea? I can see it on the Cups Site at least.

How can i add it to CUPS or the Printserver queue?
How can I share the modem on the network using Tiger Server?
Can the fax server be promoted via Bonjour for the clients ?
If it´s then not possible to add the fax modem on the Client Workstations using Bonjour, how can i add it on the client in the print center as a generic printer/modem?

All of our clients are 10.4.x so I have not tried this with other OSs. Sorry. However, since the fax is pushed out as a cups printer I can't imagine it would not be accessable... It seems that it shouldn't be too hard to find out... Go to your client and see what it finds as shared printers or faxes.

Don't forget that you'll need to be on the same subnet as the server... no one in these forums has gotten off subnet to work yet.

Just in case this thread isn't dead I also want to know if anyone has had luck getting this to work under Mac OS X Server 10.4.6. My experience is also that printer sharing works but not fax sharing. The one time the client was able to see the shared fax the client program hung when the shared fax was selected. After a reboot of the server (and rename of the modem) the shared fax is not visible on the client.

I have run all server and client updates as available including 10.4.6 and all shared faxes (as set up in the method described in this forum) and printers can be seen by the clients under "shared printers" in the print dialog and "shared faxes" in the fax dialog.

Thanks, Eric. Sometimes one misses the obvious towards the end of a long day. I'd forgotten that the server firewall was enabled--because it's used to provide bandwidth-limited sharing of a T1 rather than for protection. Now that I've opened those ports everything is working as promised with fax sharing.

Has anyone figured out how to setup Windows clients to print to a shared fax on Mac OS X Server 10.4? Sharing the fax to Mac clients is no problem (with the help on this list!), but I need to get our Windows clients setup as well.
