No Audio with Macbook Pro

I get no audio within windows and when I bring up an Volume control it says "There are no active Mixer Devices available."

I have tried updating the unknown PCI device automatically and by pointing to the drivers on the leopard CD. It couldnt find them. I also tried pointing to the realteck drivers off thier site but it wouldn't take it as realted to the hardware.

Installed thoes drivers off the realtech site.

I seem to be having a simular problem as many but thier solutions were not successfull.

hey Everyone, Enio (over in this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1368671&tstart=0 ) has discovered a fix for this problem that's worked for at least 2 of us so far.

this fix involves running a Windows patch file that's inside the SigmaTel drivers on the BootCamp drivers CD (or Leopard CD). or you can download it from Enio's .Mac page, in case you don't have WinRAR/etc.

I got an error when the patch completed & it said i needed to reboot, but i got Windows' sounds on both the shut-down & then on the reboot, all seems fine now.

Yes, in fact I am using Sp3, and had completely disregarded that as a factor for it not working.
As for the solution you have posted Enio gave you, I opened the kb835221.exe from the Leopard Disc, it seemed to complete the installation and I rebooted. After this, the audio device isn't recognized yet, and the PCI driver exclamation mark (meaning it is not installed) is still there.
Did this problem with the PCI driver happen to you?
If not, is there any way I can fix it?

I'm using XP with Service pack 2 (SP2) on my Mac Pro and it's now working fine. I downloaded the latest Realtek HD Driver from Realtek Website. Then I played around with the realtek settings via ControlPanel>RealTekHDSoundEffectsManager under the audio I/O tab. I don't know if it's different with the MBP, but I hope this helps. the download addres for the driver is:

-> Make sure that the Windows Audio service is set to Automatic and started.

Open Services...
Start | Run | Type: services.msc | Click OK |
Scroll down to and double click Windows Audio |
Set the startup type to Automatic | Click Apply |
Click the Start button | When the service starts, click OK |
Close Services
