No Audio with Macbook Pro

I get no audio within windows and when I bring up an Volume control it says "There are no active Mixer Devices available."

I have tried updating the unknown PCI device automatically and by pointing to the drivers on the leopard CD. It couldnt find them. I also tried pointing to the realteck drivers off thier site but it wouldn't take it as realted to the hardware.

Installed thoes drivers off the realtech site.

I seem to be having a simular problem as many but thier solutions were not successfull.

I had the same problem, went into the device manager found a device under system devices, with a red x do I double clicked it and updated the driver manually using the realtek audio high definiton driver,
and low and be hold it works! finaly after months I've got it to finally have sound on the pc side it is a issue with the device drivers supplied by windows go to realtek get the newest version and re-install the drivers dont let windows doit for you! Now to figure out how to get the audio to work, with the keyboard audio keys I haven't figured out yet.

Hi

I'm running XP SP3 having recently rebuilt the Windows side after a typically irritating unsolvable browser error. Rebuilt it to have this no sound problem, the 'Instance already running problem', etc.

Install this Windows patch - * http://couponmeister.com/blog/HD_Audio/KB835221.exe* (not on MS for immediate download). Uninstall any drivers associated with High Definition Audio if you're showing any in device manager. Re-install the Realtek Audio drivers off the Leopard disk. Reboot. Hey presto.

Worked for me after a lot of struggling with alternative drivers and research.
