Itunes Gift Cards - Expire?

I received a large amount of itunes cards for Christmas and am just wondering, if I go ahead and redeem all of them on Itunes, and don't use the money for an extended amount of time, will my balance remain the same? will I be charged some kind of service charge for not spending anything? will my money eventually expire?

From the back of a recently received iTunes Gift Card:

Expires later of 2 years from date of i) issuance or ii) last activity on iTunes account.

Thank you, none of my gift cards say anything like that on the back.
But is that just for the card, if not redeemed? or will the actual money you have on it, if redeemed, expire as well?

Hi Knibitz,

If you redeem the card, the balance will stay in your iTunes account and should not expire.
