Iphone with Mercedes

Hi. I have a 2007 Mercedes E class. I bought the optional bluetooth adapter for the car and it now works flawlessly. However, does anyone know how to play music from the iphone on the car's system. When i play the music after connecting the phone to the car kit, it still plays the music from the iphone speakers. Is there anyway to play the music over bluetooth?

The merc has an optional Ipod integration kit available. However, it connects in the same place where my bluetooth adapter is now installed. Which means if i do buy the kit to play music, i wont be able to use the phone with bluetooth in the car. Life is complicated!!

iPhone does not support music streaming at present.

You would have to get an iPod connector kit installed, check that it supports iPhone to physically connect iPhone to your car. iPhone will pair via bluetooth to your car's bluetooth adapter so you can still use the phone features.

You state the bluetooth unit connects to the same point as the iPod kit, contact Mercedes and ask them for further assistance.

I have a Dension iPod ICE Link connected in my Brabus, plays music fine. I have no bluetooth unit installed so connect using the Apple BT headset. When a call comes in, the music fades and I have the call in my headset without issue. Dension have also reported the ICE Link and ICE Link Plus units are iPhone compatible and both provide the correct voltage for charging.

Hope this helps.

Talk about complicated.
Apple enjoy complications.
I was just wondering weather you could answer any question on blue-tooth connection with other mobile devises.
Would Apple be planing to improve on this firmware to discover other blue tooth devices?
Most of my technology is blue-tooth capable but will not pair with the iPhone.
I returned my iPhone to the o2 shop very disappointed with this issue.
I would reconsider this product if blue tooth was activated to pair with any blue tooth product.
Come on it is not all that cool or comfortable wearing a head phone in one ear, especially on a hot day.
Come on beem me up Mr Scot
Feel free to email me on any advice that you may have with this section.
Best regards
Paul
