Hello. I have my domains set up successfully so when I type in my purchased domain name, it redirects me to my .Mac site. When I type my domain in though, it adds /iweb/site/home.html to the end. can I get it so that it just says http://www.myname.com/home.html instead of /iweb/site/home.html? Help is appreciated!
There is no way to not see the sitename in your url in addition to the pagename.html. You can of course make the sitename as short as you like inside the iWeb app. You should be able to get rid of the "iweb" in the url just by using iWeb 08.
Hello, it would appear i've prematurely assigned a personal domain to my site. Is there any way to revert back to http://web.mac.com/[YourMemberName] so that when i PUBLISH, it doesn't automatically assume it should upload to my personal URL? maybe this is simple, but i'm new to iWeb. thanks.
Your site is uploaded to the .Mac server. A URL is just a name that directs visitors to your site on a server.
Publish your site to .Mac as usual and enter your .Mac URL in the browser to visit it...
This can be fixed simply by your domain account. What kind of domain account do you have? (yahoo, goDaddy?) It is called domain masking. Hope this helps!
